Service overview

Staff Appreciation Catering by Hauchi Kay Catering

Most staff appreciation programmes move through several sessions in one day: breakfast on arrival, a mid morning tea break, a full lunch, an afternoon tea, and, where the day runs into the evening, a cocktail hour followed by dinner. We build each session around Kenyan dishes, timed to match the pace of your programme.

Session by session planning

Breakfast, tea breaks, lunch, cocktails and dinner, planned as one continuous brief.

Kenyan menus throughout

Regional dishes and flavours at every session, not a single meal repeated all day.

Full bar service

Cocktails and matching mocktails, so every guest is served with equal attention.

Live cooking stations

Nyama choma carving and live stations for garden, lawn and lodge venues.

Built in dietary inclusion

Vegetarian, pork free and low spice options labelled within the main buffet line.

Transparent pricing

Clear cost per guest ranges, quoted against your actual guest count and venue.

Key options

Morning, Lunch and Afternoon Sessions

A full working day event runs from early breakfast through to a mid afternoon tea break, keeping guests fed at the right pace between opening remarks, games and awards.

Morning Breakfast

Morning Breakfast

Mandazi, half cakes, sweet potatoes, arrow roots, sausages, masala chai and fresh fruit, served quickly while guests are still signing in.

Mid Morning Tea

A quick thirty minute break with tea, coffee, mandazi, samosas and bhajia kept warm at a manned station.

Lunch Buffet

Lunch Buffet

The anchor meal of the day, drawing from across Kenya’s regional cooking styles with an outdoor catering setup when the venue allows it.

Key options

Afternoon Tea and Evening Cocktail Hour

Once the working sessions close, the day shifts into a more relaxed register, and the catering pace shifts with it.

Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea

Tea, coffee, mabuyu, roasted groundnuts, seasonal fruit skewers and a simple cake, light enough to leave room for dinner.

Evening Cocktail Hour

Evening Cocktail Hour

Classic cocktails and Kenyan inspired mocktails, run by our mixologists so non drinkers are never an afterthought.

Evening dinner

An awards dinner that matches the recognition

Hauchi Kay offers a full evening dinner service for staff appreciation days, covering live carving, event wines and a plated buffet finished with a dessert table.

Starters

Samosas, bhajia, chicken skewers and mini chapati rolls, plated or passed on trays before the buffet opens.

Live Carving Station

Pricing

How pricing works

Pricing depends on guest count, package tier, venue and how many sessions your programme needs. As a working example, 150 staff on a full Luxury tier event, cocktails, mocktails and event wines included, typically falls in the region of KES 2,325,000 to KES 2,925,000 for catering alone, before venue hire, entertainment and decor. An Executive package for the same group would fall between roughly KES 1,500,000 and KES 2,025,000. Prices shown are premium market estimates for planning purposes only, and final quotations depend on guest numbers, menu complexity, venue, staffing, transport, equipment hire, service style and seasonal ingredient costs. Free, no obligation quotations are available.
