Conduct & Client Respect Policy
At Hauchi Kay Catering Service Kenya, every event we cater is an opportunity to create an unforgettable memory for our clients and their guests. Our reputation as one of Nairobi’s best catering companies is built not only on culinary excellence but on the professional conduct, respectful engagement, and exceptional customer service our team delivers at every interaction.
This Conduct & Client Respect Policy establishes the standards of behaviour and professional conduct expected of all Hauchi Kay Catering Service staff, subcontractors, and partners, as well as the corresponding expectations we hold for client engagement. It applies to all catering engagements across Nairobi, Kiambu, Thika Road, Westlands, Karen, Ruaka, and throughout Kenya.
Hauchi Kay Catering Staff Conduct Standards
All Hauchi Kay Catering Service Kenya team members including chefs, catering assistants, servers, bartenders, event coordinators, and logistics personnel — are required to uphold the following professional conduct standards at all times:
Professionalism & Appearance:
- All staff must arrive at events punctually and in full, clean Hauchi Kay Catering uniform
- Personal hygiene standards must be maintained at all times, especially in food handling and service
- Staff must carry and display Hauchi Kay Catering identification at all times during events
- Mobile phone use is restricted to designated breaks and genuine emergencies during active service
Respect & Communication:
- All guests and clients are to be addressed with courtesy, warmth, and respect at all times
- Staff must respond to client requests and queries promptly and professionally
- Any client complaints or concerns must be escalated immediately to the on-site Hauchi Kay supervisor
- Staff must never engage in arguments, heated discussions, or confrontational behaviour with clients or event guests
Food Safety & Service Standards:
- All food handling must comply with Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) food safety regulations
- Staff are trained in food safety, hygiene, and allergen management procedures
- Alcohol service staff must adhere to responsible service of alcohol guidelines
- Any food or beverage safety concern must be reported to the on-site Hauchi Kay supervisor immediately
Anti-Harassment & Non-Discrimination Commitment
Hauchi Kay Catering Service Kenya operates a zero-tolerance policy against harassment, discrimination, or abuse of any kind, whether directed at clients, event guests, or staff members. This includes:
- Sexual harassment or inappropriate conduct of any form
- Discrimination based on tribe, religion, gender, age, disability, or socioeconomic status
- Verbal abuse, intimidation, or threatening behaviour
- Disrespect towards cultural or religious practices observed at events
Any verified incident of staff misconduct will be subject to immediate disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment and, where applicable, legal proceedings. Clients who witness or experience staff misconduct are encouraged to report it immediately to the on-site supervisor or contact +254-701-648-558.
Client Conduct Expectations
Hauchi Kay Catering Service Kenya reserves the right to maintain a safe and respectful working environment for our team members. In turn, we respectfully request that clients and event hosts uphold the following:
- Treat all Hauchi Kay Catering staff with dignity, courtesy, and respect
- Communicate catering requests, changes, or concerns through designated client service channels
- Do not instruct Hauchi Kay Catering staff to perform duties outside the agreed scope of work
- Ensure that other event vendors, guests, and third parties do not harass or abuse Hauchi Kay Catering personnel
- Provide timely access to the event venue to enable proper catering setup and preparation
Hauchi Kay Catering Service Kenya reserves the right to withdraw catering services from an event if our staff are subjected to sustained verbal abuse, physical threats, or hostile working conditions. In such cases, the full event invoice remains payable.
Alcohol & Intoxication Management
Hauchi Kay Catering Service Kenya is committed to responsible catering environments. Our bar attendants and service staff are trained to refuse alcohol service to visibly intoxicated individuals. Clients are responsible for the overall conduct of their event guests. Hauchi Kay Catering staff are not responsible for managing guest intoxication or related security matters beyond our standard service scope.
Children at Events
Hauchi Kay Catering Service Kenya warmly welcomes children at events we cater. Our staff are trained to be mindful and considerate around children, ensuring appropriate food safety and service standards. We request that clients inform us in advance of events where large numbers of children will be present so we can adjust our service approach, menu portions, and safety protocols accordingly.
